The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation, and Safety Corps, known as So-Safe Corps, has urged residents of Ogun State to remain vigilant, following the recent resurgence of one-chance criminal incidents reported across the country.
The advisory came through a public safety statement issued by the State Commander, Commander (Dr.) Soji Ganzallo.
The Director of Information and Public Relations, Assistant Commander Adegunwa Adegbuyi, released the statement to the public.
According to Commander Ganzallo, one-chance crime poses a growing security threat nationwide. He noted that recent incidents have caused injuries, financial losses, and tragic fatalities.
Therefore, he stressed that awareness and caution remain the strongest tools against the crime. He advised residents to avoid unregistered or suspicious vehicles, especially at odd hours.

Additionally, he urged commuters to use recognised transport parks and verified ride services. He warned against vehicles with tinted windows or unusually cheap transport fares. Furthermore, he cautioned residents against drivers who load passengers without clear destinations.
He advised commuters to trust their instincts and decline trips that feel unsafe.
Meanwhile, he encouraged residents to limit phone use while commuting. He also urged passengers to avoid displaying valuables inside public transport. In addition, he advised residents to share travel details with trusted contacts before departure.
In suspected one-chance situations, he urged victims to remain calm and avoid confrontation. He encouraged victims to seek safe opportunities to alert security personnel or nearby citizens. He further advised victims to observe landmarks, vehicle details, and suspect features discreetly.
Meanwhile, the State Commander confirmed intensified patrols across highways and transport corridors. He said the Corps has increased surveillance and intelligence gathering across identified flashpoints.
Furthermore, he reaffirmed strong collaboration with sister security agencies across Ogun State. He urged residents to report suspicious activities promptly to So-Safe Corps formations. He stressed that timely reports can prevent crimes and save lives.
Finally, Commander Ganzallo reaffirmed the Corps’ commitment to protecting lives and property statewide. He urged residents to remain security-conscious, cooperative, and law-abiding at all times.
