The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, known as So-Safe Corps, has arrested a suspected cannabis dealer.
The arrest took place in Ipokia Local Government Area of Ogun State, and the State Commander, Commander (Dr.) Soji Ganzallo confirmed the arrest in a press statement.
The Director of Information and Public Relations, ACC Adegunwa Adegbuyi, released the statement to the public. According to the statement, the arrest occurred on January 28, 2026.
The Director of Anti-Arms Smuggling, ACC Abdulkareem Abdulrazak, led the surveillance operation. He mobilised his team while enforcing the State Commander’s directive on regular patrols.
The patrol team operated along Koko-Akojaga Road, under Ilashe town, Ipokia. At about 12:27pm, operatives noticed a suspicious motorcyclist. The team identified the suspect as Azeez Amuzat Ogo-Oluwa, aged 22.

His behaviour raised suspicion and attracted immediate attention. Consequently, operatives stopped the motorcycle for a search. During the search, officers discovered 85 wraps of cannabis inside his bag. The suspect identified himself as a carpenter by profession.
Commander Ganzallo confirmed that officers recovered the drugs at the scene. He stated further that the Corps handed the suspect and exhibits to National Drug Law Enforcement Agency authorities. The handover took place at the NDLEA Idiroko Special Area Command. The agency will conduct further investigation and prosecution.
Meanwhile, Commander Ganzallo warned residents against drug-related crimes. He described cannabis and other hard drugs as dangerous to health and national security. He also stressed that the Corps maintains constant surveillance across the state. He further assured residents that offenders will face lawful arrest and prosecution.
