So-Safe Apprehends Twelve Illegal Miners in Ogun

… reassures apprehension of other fleeing illegal miners

The operatives of Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, So-Safe Corps has on Wednesday 28th and Friday 30th September arrested twelve illegal Miners while stealing the the state government resources.

According to a release issued from the Office of the State Commander of the Corps, Commander (Dr) Soji Ganzallo through the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Corps stated that ‘twelve suspected illegal miners were arrested at Abeku Adekanmbi Village in Ijebu North Local Government Area while stealing mineral resources like coal and gold from under the ground’.

Commander Ganzallo noted that there is nothing to delay about the matter, he has further instructed his officers to forward their preliminary investigation report to the State Headquarter of the Corps and to further ensure that other accomplices who escaped through motorcycles are brought to book.

Meanwhile, the arrested suspects had been transfered to the Nigeria Police, Ijebu Igbo Divisional Headquarters for onward transfer to the Ogun State Police Headquarter in Eleweran for further investigation and likely prosecution.
