The Ogun State Social Orientation and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps) has apprehended two suspects for stealing aluminum cables in the state.

According to a statement from the State Commander, Dr. Soji Ganzallo, issued through the Director of Information and Public Relations, ACC Moruf Yusuf, So-Safe officers on routine patrol arrested the suspects around 5:00 AM on March 29, 2025.
The suspects, who have been identified as Kamoru Mustapha (25) and Mubarak Idris (26), were caught in a bush at Onijanganjangan, Obada-Oko, Ewekoro Local Government Area of the state while attempting to escape with the stolen aluminum cables.
During a preliminary investigation, the suspects, both scavengers, admitted to stealing the cables, and the stolen materials have been recovered as evidence.

Commander Ganzallo has once again stressed the security outfit’s determination to rid the state of criminal activities and the unscrupulous elements that perpetrate them.
“Our officers remain committed to securing lives and property. Criminal activities like cable theft will not be tolerated,” Ganzallo stated.
Ganzallo confirmed that the suspects and recovered exhibits have been handed over to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ogun State Command, at Dekudu Village along Kobape Road, Abeokuta for further investigation and possible prosecution.
