Operatives of the Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps) have apprehended a 26-year-old suspect, Abdulrasheed Ibrahim, for alleged burglary and theft of aluminium and electrical wires.

This development was made known in a statement issued from the office of the Corps Commander, Dr. Soji Ganzallo, and signed by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf.
According to the report, operatives attached to the Iyesi Area Command of, while on routine patrol in the early hours of Wednesday, 12th June 2025, at around 2:00 a.m., intercepted the suspect, believed to be a scavenger, in possession of the stolen items.
Commander Ganzallo explained that a professional assessment was carried out, during which the suspect failed to provide a credible explanation or proof of ownership of the items found with him.
During preliminary interrogation, the suspect, who resides at Obasanjo Power Line, confessed to vandalizing a house situated behind the Winners Chapel fence. He also admitted to having been arrested on four previous occasions for similar offences.

The Commander confirmed that both the suspect and the recovered materials have been handed over to the Onipanu Divisional Headquarters of the Nigeria Police Force for further investigation and prosecution.
Dr. Ganzallo reaffirmed that the relative peace and security across Ogun State will not be compromised, and emphasized the corps’ commitment to rooting out criminal elements from all communities.
“No stone will be left unturned in ensuring the safety of lives and property. We remain committed to sustaining law and order across the state,” he assured.
