The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation, and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps) has arrested a 21-year-old suspect for vandalizing and stealing railway track steel in Idiroko, Ogun State.
This was revealed in a statement issued by the State Commander, Commander (Dr.) Soji Ganzallo, and released to the media by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Assistant Commander Adegunwa Adegbuyi.
According to the report, on November 1, 2025, at about 5:20 a.m., officers on surveillance, led by ACC Abdulkareem Abdulrazak, Director of Anti-Arms Smuggling, caught the suspect, Ismaila Mustapha Sunday, while attempting to sell the stolen steel to scrap dealers at Ayedun Quarters, near the Ram Market, Idiroko.

Ganzallo said officers apprehended the suspect, a bricklayer, after he tried to flee. “The rider escaped with his bike, but our officers subdued the suspect,” he said.
During interrogation, the suspect confessed to stealing five railway track steel pieces and one bundle of binding wire from Ogunbambi Adigun’s workshop in Kanisuru, Idiroko. The workshop owner confirmed the theft.
Commander Ganzallo said officers handed the suspect and recovered items to the Nigeria Police Force in Idiroko for further investigation and prosecution.
