The suspect, identified as Falade Wasiu, was apprehended at about 2:30 a.m. on August 7, 2025, along Ado-Odo town road. He was found with a stolen “lady” motorcycle (registration number MUS 398 QP), three gas lighters, a black plastic TVS bike, and an MTN SIM card.
During interrogation, Wasiu confessed to stealing the motorcycle about five months earlier with an accomplice named Wale, after scaling a perimeter fence in Ajegunle, Atan-Ota. He admitted the bike had been hidden in an uncompleted building and was en route to Oshodi to sell it when he was caught.
Commander Ganzallo confirmed that Wasiu has a history of motorcycle theft and had previously escaped police custody. The suspect and recovered exhibits have been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force, Ado-Odo Division, for further investigation and prosecution.
