The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, known as So-Safe Corps, has arrested a suspected thief. The suspect was caught stealing an iron burglar-proof in Owode-Ota, Ogun State.
The Corps Commander, Dr. Soji Ganzallo, confirmed the arrest in a statement on Tuesday. The statement was released to journalists through the Director of Information and Public Relations, ACC Adegunwa Adegbuyi.
Ganzallo said the suspect, 22-year-old Oladeji Abiodun, was arrested on Monday, October 13, 2025. The arrest occurred during a routine patrol led by Area Commander ACC Sanni David along the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.
He explained that the operatives noticed the suspect carrying the iron burglar-proof at the Onihale Bus Stop. The location, opposite the T-Money Fueling Station, raised suspicion because of the early hour.

During interrogation, the suspect admitted stealing the item from a building at Imise, Owode-Ota, Ogun State.
According to the Corps, intelligence reports revealed that some crimes occur after 5:00 a.m. when guards retire from duty. Consequently, the State Commander ordered all Zonal and Area Commanders to increase early morning patrols.
Ganzallo praised his operatives for their commitment and urged continued cooperation between communities and security agencies. He said such teamwork is vital to ensure peace and safety across Ogun State.
Finally, the suspect and the recovered item were handed over to the Nigeria Police, Sango Division, for further investigation and prosecution.
