The Ogun State So-Safe Corps rescued a Ghanaian woman and arrested eleven suspects for human trafficking and fraud.
According to a statement by the State Commander, Commander (Dr.) Soji Ganzallo, and released by the Director of Information and Public Relations, ACC Adegunwa Adegbuyi, the operation occurred on Monday, November 3, 2025.
Ganzallo said that at about 3:20 p.m., a 38-year-old Ghanaian woman, identified as Fosuaa Sarah, made a distress call for help after realizing she had been lured into the country under false pretenses. Unknown to her, an undercover So-Safe officer was present and immediately alerted the Divisional Officer, CSC Ibrahim Kamal, who called for backup from the Ado-Odo/Igbesa Area Commander, ACC Oluti Kehinde David.
Acting swiftly, officers raided the crime scene at Idoye Idomaroko, Lusada, Igbesa, and arrested eleven Ghanaian suspects. Those apprehended include Francis Jesse, the team leader; Doris Asomaning, the victim’s sister; and others identified as Mavis Moro, Antwi Silas, Seth Owusu, Spendylove Osei, Gracious Tetteh, Veronica Kramah, Samuel Ellael, Salifu Iddrisu, and Ruth Mensah.

During interrogation, the victim said her sister convinced her to travel from Ghana for a fake business offer in Italy. She said Francis demanded thirty-eight thousand cedis to process the deal. Upon arriving in Nigeria, the syndicate seized her belongings and phones. When she questioned the nature of the job, they told her not to worry. Later, she was coerced into online fraud, which she refused to join.
Commander Ganzallo noted that the Ghanaian victim managed to escape and contacted the Corps for help. Officers recovered several items during the operation, including three laptops, sixteen phones, five power banks, and six chargers.
Officers handed all eleven suspects and recovered items to the Nigeria Police Force, Idi-Oke Division, for investigation.
Ganzallo praised the officers for their swift, coordinated operation and reaffirmed the Corps’ commitment to protecting residents.
