One of the victims, Anita Otaibu, had received a job offer in Nigeria. However, upon arrival, she and nine others were locked in a three-bedroom apartment located in the Oke-Sioni area, opposite Comfort Zone Hotel, Mowe. They were prevented from contacting anyone and restricted from moving freely.
