Official Statement

State Commander's Address

"

To every resident of Ogun State, our partners in governance, and the brave officers of the So-Safe Corps, I extend my greetings of peace, commitment, and shared purpose.

In a time when communities everywhere face evolving security challenges, the Ogun State Community, Social Orientation, and Safety Corps remains resolute in its duty. Our mandate is not simply about uniformed patrols or crime response; it is about building confidence, strengthening neighbourhood resilience, and nurturing a culture of collective responsibility for public safety.

We have witnessed firsthand the fruits of proactive community engagement; from neighbourhood patrol collaborations to the successful apprehension of criminals undermining peace in our cities, towns, and villages. These outcomes are not random; they are the result of planned patrols, robust intelligence gathering, rapid response, and mutual trust between our officers and the people we serve.

Our outfit recognises that insecurity affects more than physical safety, it further disrupts development, strains livelihoods, and erodes hope. That is why we do not merely chase crime; we confront the root causes of insecurity through sensitization campaigns, stakeholder partnerships, and education that empowers citizens to be vigilant and proactive.

As we look toward the future, I reaffirm the commitment of the So-Safe Corps to being an agency of integrity and fervour. We will continue to strengthen our operational capabilities, deepen collaborations with sister security agencies, and refine our strategies to match the sophistication of emerging threats.

But this mission is not ours alone. A safer Ogun State is shaped by every household, business owner, youth group, traditional ruler, and civil society actor who chooses cooperation over complacency, trust over fear, and collective action over silence.

Together, we will build communities that are safer, stronger, and more resilient. Communities where peace is not a promise but a living reality.
