So-Safe Corps Decorates Deputy State Commander and DCCs

The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation, and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps) has promoted and decorated its new Deputy State Commander and two Deputy Corps Commanders. The recognition highlights their dedication, hard work, and commitment to strengthening security across the state.

The event took place on Monday, September 22, 2025, at the State Headquarters, Oke-Ilewo, Abeokuta. Present were the Hon. Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Abdulganiyu Hamzat, represented by Dr. Rotimiolu Akinlesi. Also present was the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security, AIG Olusola Subair (Rtd.), represented by Mr. Biyi Odubote.

In his remarks, the State Commander, (Dr.) Soji Ganzallo, charged the new officers to remain professional and dedicated. He stressed that their elevation is a result of hard work and to whom much is given, much is expected.

Commander Ganzallo also thanked the Ogun State Government for providing the Corps with essential tools and support.

The decorated officers include DCC Moruf Kolawole Yusuf as Deputy State Commander, DCC Adedamola Adesina AbdulAkeem as Deputy Commander, Operations, and DCC Odukoya Oluyemi Ijaoba as Deputy Commander, Intelligence and Investigations.

In his goodwill message, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs reminded the officers that promotion brings greater responsibility. He encouraged them to apply their experience, leadership, and discipline in strengthening security.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Security praised the So-Safe Corps for championing safety in Ogun State. He noted that while promotions are competitive, the state values the efforts of every officer.

The Commissioner supervised the decoration and handed letters of appointment to the newly promoted officers.

On behalf of the decorated officers, DCC Moruf Yusuf expressed gratitude to the Commander and the state government for their trust. He pledged continued commitment to the Corps’ mission.

In addition, the State Commander decorated ACC Adegunwa Adegbuyi as Director of Information and Public Relations and ACC Nurudeen Muibi as Deputy Director, Intelligence and Investigation.
