The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation, and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps) has arrested five serial cattle rustlers.

The State Commander, Dr. Soji Ganzallo, confirmed the arrest in a statement released by ACC Adegunwa Adegbuyi, Director of Information and Public Relations.

According to Ganzallo, the So-Safe Corps, Ibefun Division, worked with local cow owners to track the suspects.

They were arrested on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, after several cattle thefts in Agbowa, Imota, Ito-Ikin, Ibefun, and Eganmutakun.

The suspects are Akin Olayinka (35), Mohammed Abdullah (40), Idris Saheed (25), Seriki Abubakar (15), and Musa Abubakar (35).

During questioning, they confessed to stealing cows and selling them in local markets to unsuspecting buyers.

Ganzallo said the group had caused major losses to cattle owners in those areas.

He commended the communities for cooperating with the Corps and helping capture the suspects.

The Commander also assured residents that the Corps remains committed to protecting lives and property across Ogun State.

The suspects are now in police custody at the Igbeba Area Command, Ijebu-Ode, for further investigation and prosecution.
