The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps) has congratulated Muslim faithful in Ogun State on the occasion of Eid-el-Adha and assured residents of adequate security throughout the celebration.
The State Commander of the Corps, Commander (Dr.) Soji Ganzallo disclosed this in a statement released through the Director of Information and Public Relations, Assistant Commander Adegunwa Adegbuyi.
Commander Ganzallo urged residents to celebrate responsibly and remain security-conscious during the festive period. He noted that Eid-el-Adha attracts large gatherings across communities, worship centres, markets, and recreational areas statewide.
According to him, residents should stay alert and observe their surroundings, especially in crowded locations. He warned that some criminal elements often exploit festive gatherings to commit crimes.
The State Commander also advised residents to properly secure their homes before embarking on journeys. In addition, he encouraged neighbours to maintain peaceful relationships and look out for one another during the celebrations.
Furthermore, Commander Ganzallo urged motorists to drive cautiously and obey all traffic regulations. He advised drivers to avoid overspeeding, overloading, reckless driving, and unnecessary night travel.
He also encouraged vehicle owners to ensure their vehicles remain roadworthy before travelling.
To strengthen security across Ogun State, the Corps has deployed operatives to strategic locations and identified black spots. The Commander explained that both uniformed and undercover officers would remain on active patrol throughout the festive period.
He also reaffirmed the Corps’ commitment to collaborating with other security agencies to maintain peace and public safety during the celebration.
Finally, Commander Ganzallo congratulated Muslim faithful and prayed for peace, joy, and prosperity across Ogun State during and after the Eid-el-Adha celebration.
