SO-SAFE CORPS HOLDS 3-DAY RETREAT FOR SENIOR OFFICERS IN OGUN

The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, also known as So-Safe Corps, has completed a 3-Day Retreat for Senior Officers across the State.

This is according to a statement released by the State Commander of Corps, Cmdr. (Dr.) Soji Ganzallo through the Director of Information and Public Relations, Assistant Commander of Corps, Adegunwa Adegbuyi.

The State Commander stated that, the retreat which commenced on Monday, 17th August, 2026 was held at the Corps Training Academy at Ilaro and tagged; Upholding Integrity and Professionalism in Security and Safety.

The resource persons, which were mainly from the Agency treated varieties of topics which includes; The Scope of Duties and Professional Techniques as Senior Officers, The Officers and Men of Our Dream-Theory and Practical, Security Agencies and Official Stakeholders, Health Talk. Other topics includes; Operations: Techniques, Coordination and Administration, and An Overview of Intelligence Gathering for Senior Officers.

The State Commander emphasized the importance of critically analyzing the integrity of personnel as it affects the general image of the corps in the community. He explained that, "the retreat is of utmost importance for the agency as officers are meant to be reminded its core value."

"This exercise was specifically for senior officer and it is expected that when they get to their respective commands, they will transfer the knowledge down the chain of command." Ganzallo echoed. He also noted that, securing lives and property takes continuous learning by way of training and retraining of personnel and the agency will not relent in his oars in making sure all officers and men of the corps are equipped, mentally and professionally for the security reality of the state.

The programme which came to a close on Wednesday, 19th August, 2026 was comprehensive with daily drill, early morning exercise and parade.
