
This is contained in a press statement by the State Commander, (Dr.) Soji Ganzallo, and released by the Director of Information and Public Relations, ACC Adegunwa Adegbuyi.
The State Commander, while eulogizing the community for prompt information, explained that on Friday, August 28, 2026 at about 3:30pm, the Divisional Officer, Bode Olude Division, CSC Ibrahim Tajudeen, received a distressed call from members of Oke-Efon Community of an ongoing armed robbery. The Divisional Officers, responding swiftly, mobilized a team of operatives to the purported crime scene.
On arrival, the team met a victim (name withheld), who had been robbed and left with matchette wounds along the bush path. The agonizing cry of theirs victim was what attracted passersby and they immediately surrounded the location of interest.
"Some members of the community who were aware that the personnel of the Corps had been alerted, waited for the team's arrival" said the Commander. Instantly when the team was spotted by the residents, they joined the team to advance and to effect arrest of all the suspects.
The all male suspects are; Muhammed Ibrahim, "35", Umukoro Godfrey, "24", Lawal Azeez, "29", and Ogunbiyi Junior, "20".
The items recovered from the suspects are one cutlass and Seventeen Thousand, Five Hundred Naira (17,500) that was forcefully collected from their injured victim.
As of the time of this press statement, both the suspects and recovered exhibits has been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force, Adatan Divisional Headquarters, for further investigation and possible prosecution.
