The So-Safe Corps arrests serial robbers in a major security operation carried out on April 4, 2025, in Ogun State. Arms, a stolen vehicle, and other items were recovered during the raid.
According to a statement from Commander (Dr.) Soji Ganzallo, signed by Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf, the arrests occurred around 6:00 a.m. during a routine patrol in Ilase, Ipokia Local Government Area.

Two suspects, Emmanuel Asogba (28) and Hodonu Hetel (31); both citizens of the Republic of Benin, were apprehended by officers led by CSC Abdulkareem Abdulrazaq of the Idiroko Command.
The duo was caught with the following items:
- A locally made double-barrel pistol
- Five live cartridges
- Three stolen goats
- A Bajaj motorcycle
They had been under surveillance due to multiple reports from robbery victims across the state.
Following interrogation, the suspects led officers to a hideout in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area. Although the gang leader fled before officers arrived, two accomplices were arrested.
Recovered at the scene were:
- A robber’s face mask
- Two Republic of Benin number plates
- Four car batteries
- Several hammers
- Four stolen goats
- A Toyota Corolla (Plate: AGL 204 JL)

Commander Ganzallo praised the Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) of both Idiroko and Ado-Odo divisions for their vital assistance during the operation.
All suspects and recovered items have been transferred to the Nigeria Police Force, Idiroko Division for further investigation and prosecution.
